Allergy Testing
Dogs and cats can be allergic to almost anything—just like people. Pets may develop allergies to substances in their household environment, outdoor surroundings, or even in their food. Symptoms can range from itchiness, ear or eye infections, and constant licking to vomiting or diarrhea. Many pets suffer from allergies, which can significantly affect their quality of life—as well as their owners’.

Behavior Management
We offer solutions for a variety of behavioral issues that pet owners may face. Behavioral problems can be challenging and frustrating for both pets and their owners, so our goal is to work with you to find an effective solution.
Many behaviors can be negative or destructive, and it’s common for pet owners to feel helpless in trying to restore peace in their home. We want you to know that we’re here to help—and that undesirable behaviors can be managed and corrected.

Dermatology
Your pet’s skin is the largest organ of the body. Allergies, parasites, infections, autoimmune diseases, and cancers can all affect your pet’s skin.
We offer specialized diagnostic tests—including allergy testing, fungal testing, cultures, and biopsies—along with the most cutting-edge treatments to ensure the health of your pet’s skin.

Geriatric Care
Preventive medicine is important when our pets are young, but as they age and become more prone to certain diseases, annual exams and bloodwork become even more critical.
Annual exams and bloodwork that evaluate liver and kidney values, along with thyroid function, can alert us to early changes and provide valuable insight into your pet’s health. We understand the changes your pet will experience as they grow older, and we recognize the importance of keeping them healthy and comfortable as they enter their golden years.
Please call us today at (813) 538-1740 to learn more about caring for your senior pet.

Health Certificates
If you plan to travel internationally with your pet, it’s important to plan ahead. Because each country has different requirements, you’ll need to contact the embassy or consulate of your destination to find out exactly what is needed.
While every country has its own regulations, most require a health certificate issued by a USDA-accredited veterinarian. Fortunately, we have a USDA-accredited veterinarian on staff. If you are not currently a client, please bring your pet’s medical records with you to the examination.
During your pet’s examination, we will review all the necessary forms. In some cases, additional tests may be required to ensure your pet is healthy enough for travel, and certain treatments may need to be administered prior to departure.
You will always need a health certificate and proof of vaccination. Some countries may also require a microchip, blood tests, or parasite treatments. In addition, airlines may have their own certificate or documentation requirements.
Because requirements vary by country and are subject to change, we recommend calling ahead to confirm what is needed for your specific destination. Once we have that information, we’ll make sure your pet is fully prepared for a safe and stress-free journey!

Hospice and Euthanasia
Saying goodbye to your pet can be one of the most difficult experiences you face. The process can be emotionally and mentally exhausting, and we don’t want you to go through it alone. We promise to do everything we can to make this time easier for both you and your pet. Most importantly, we will approach every situation with compassion, understanding, and care.
Knowing when the time is right can be an incredibly hard decision. Many factors go into determining when euthanasia may be the most humane option, and it’s a deeply personal choice that varies from one pet owner to another. We want you to know that you don’t have to make that decision alone—we’re here to support and guide you in any way we can.
If you have special requests, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate them. Saying goodbye is never easy, but we’re committed to making the process as peaceful and comforting as possible for both you and your beloved pet.

Mass Removal
Discovering a lump or mass on your pet can be concerning. At Kingdom Pet Hospital, we provide expert evaluation and surgical removal of masses with your pet’s health and comfort as our top priorities. Not all masses are harmful, but early assessment is important, which is why our veterinarians perform thorough examinations and may recommend diagnostic testing to determine the nature of the growth. When removal is recommended, we create a personalized surgical plan based on the size, location, and characteristics of the mass to ensure safe removal while preserving surrounding tissue.

Microchipping
At Kingdom Pet Hospital, we are happy to offer microchipping for your pet. Every year, thousands of pets go missing, and not knowing where your pet is—or how to bring them home—can be a heartbreaking experience. It’s a tragedy that happens far too often.
Fortunately, there is a simple, safe, and effective way to help ensure your pet’s safety and quick return if they ever become lost. Microchipping is a standard procedure in which a tiny chip is implanted just beneath your pet’s skin. The process is quick, virtually painless, and completely safe.

Nutritional Counseling
Kingdom Pet Hospital offers nutritional counseling for pet owners in Gibsonton, FL and the surrounding communities. If you have any questions about your pet’s diet or would like more information about their nutritional needs, please contact us today. We can help create a customized nutrition plan to keep your pet healthy and thriving.
Obesity is a common issue among pets, as it can be easy to overfeed a dog or cat that knows how to beg. However, being overweight is a serious health concern that can lead to a variety of medical problems. With the right balance of diet and exercise, pets can maintain a healthy weight and meet all of their nutritional needs.

Parasite Prevention
The thought of your pet being infested with parasites is unsettling—but it’s also a serious medical concern that can have significant consequences if not properly addressed or prevented. Parasites can cause a range of health issues for pets, and susceptibility can vary based on factors such as age, region, and lifestyle.
At Kingdom Pet Hospital, we emphasize the importance of parasite prevention. With proper preventive care, you can effectively protect your pet from harmful infestations. Pets that are not protected are at greater risk of developing parasites, which can lead to serious health problems for both them and their families.

Pain Management
Pets that are in pain are miserable, we will do everything we can to keep your them comfortable.
We offer many different options for managing pain. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are very helpful for mild to moderate pain. Steroids can also provide significant relief when needed. For more severe cases, we have stronger pain medications available. Additionally, we offer glucosamine supplements—both in tablet form and as injections—to help relieve arthritis and support joint health.

Pet Dental Care
Dental health plays a vital role in your pet’s overall well-being. At Kingdom Pet Hospital, our professional dental services help prevent pain, infection, and long-term health complications caused by dental disease. Many pets experience dental problems without obvious signs, such as bad breath, tartar buildup, inflamed gums, or difficulty eating, all of which may indicate underlying issues that require professional care. Our dental services begin with a comprehensive oral examination to assess your pet’s teeth and gums and determine the most appropriate treatment plan for their individual needs.

Pet Surgery
At Kingdom Pet Hospital, we understand that the thought of your pet undergoing surgery can feel overwhelming. Our experienced veterinary team is committed to providing safe, compassionate surgical care while keeping you fully informed every step of the way. We perform a wide range of soft-tissue and routine surgical procedures using modern techniques and up-to-date equipment. From minor procedures to more complex surgeries, your pet’s comfort and safety are always our top priorities. Before any surgical procedure, we conduct a thorough physical exam and pre-anesthetic testing when recommended, allowing us to tailor anesthesia and monitoring protocols specifically to your pet’s age, breed, and health needs.

Preventative Care
We believe the best way to promote overall health is through preventive care. Regular checkups allow us to establish a baseline for your pet’s health and help us detect any changes that may indicate potential problems in the future.
We highly recommend bringing your pet in for regular exams. Health issues that go unnoticed can often develop into more serious conditions if left untreated, so checkups are important—even when your pet appears healthy.

Puppy and Kitten Care
Getting a new puppy or kitten is an exciting experience filled with joy and anticipation. The companionship a pet brings is truly rewarding—but puppies and kittens also come with a lot of responsibility and care. Here at Kingdom Pet Hospital, we’re here to help you every step of the way with your new addition.
The first step is to bring your new puppy or kitten in for a complete nose-to-tail examination to ensure they’re healthy and off to a great start. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to help your new pet become familiar and comfortable with our veterinary team and hospital environment.

Spay & Neuter
Spaying and neutering are important procedures that support your pet’s long-term health and help reduce pet overpopulation. At Kingdom Pet Hospital, we perform these surgeries with a focus on safety, comfort, and compassionate care. Spaying female pets can help prevent uterine infections and reduce the risk of certain cancers, while neutering male pets can lower the risk of testicular disease and decrease unwanted behaviors. Before surgery, our veterinary team carefully evaluates your pet through pre-surgical exams and recommended testing to ensure they are healthy enough for anesthesia and to customize care for their specific needs.

Vaccinations
At Kingdom Pet Hospital in Gibsonton, FL , we believe that one of the most important aspects of caring for your pet’s health is keeping them protected through vaccination. A variety of diseases can affect pets and other animals, so proper vaccination is essential to safeguarding them from many types of illnesses.
It’s important to consult with us about the specific risks associated with living in our region. We’ll be happy to discuss the benefits of vaccinating your pet and provide you with detailed information about which vaccines are recommended and required for their protection.

Wellness Exams
At Kingdom Pet Hospital in Gibsonton, FL ,we believe that regular checkups and wellness exams are essential to your pet’s overall well-being. These visits give us the opportunity to evaluate your pet’s health and establish a baseline for their unique body and lifestyle.
Wellness exams not only help us stay up to date on your pet’s health, but they also allow us to detect potential problems before they become serious. This thorough checkup provides us with valuable information to help keep your pet happy and healthy!
